The Project
In January 2006 we had a preliminary visit in Italy. Meaning of this visit was to make a Comenius project application and the main plans for the project. Participating countries of the project are Finland, Island, Italy (as a silent partner), Poland and Spain.
The project started in September 2006 in Finland. In this meeting teachers from these countries planned what to do during the first year. The project will continue until summer 2009. Project meetings will take place in every participating country.
Aims of the  project
  Concrete aims of our project are to get to  know different countries, cultures and people. Furthermore aims are:
- to remove prejudices. Even if we come from different places, we can still find similarities.
 - to improve computer and language skills as well as the ability of collaboration within the students and teachers
 - to learn from each others (e.g teaching methods)
 
2006-2007  My country, my town, my school and myself
  The topic is my country, my town, my school  and myself. 
- The product of the year is a web-site for our Comenius-project.
 - Each school has the Comenius wall with posters from each country.
 - The students send letters, e-mails, photos of themselves, drawings etc. to each others.
 
2007-2008 Religious holidays
  The topic will be religious holidays and  how do we spend them. During the year we are going:
- to make Christmas/Easter cards to each others
 - to record Christmas songs in our language and send them with music papers and words to our partners
 - to exchange our traditional Christmas/Easter food recipies and the photos of food
 - to have a quiz of Christmas traditions in different countries
 
The final product of this year will be a  book of traditional holiday recipies. We will also improve our web-site and  Comenius wall.
   
  2008-2009  Childrens’ free time
  The topic will be childrens’ free-time. The  students will:
- interview each others and make statistics about hobbies.
 - make a group-work about their hobbies (a presentation, collection of photograps, handcrafts, drawings, videos etc.)
 - exchange information what children do after school, in the afternoon, in the evening and on holidays
 
The product will be a book of games including the rules in English. Some of the products will build up our web-site as well.
